Betsy Van Dyke

Based in Wellington, Florida, Betsy Van Dyke has trained many horses up through the dressage levels from Training Level to Grand Prix. From starting young horses, to dealing with specific training issues, to finishing the Grand Prix, Betsy has knack for seeing each horse as an unique individual. She feels that each horse has a different story, and believes that understanding how they think is what best helps us to achieve harmony with them. Betsy loves teaching and helping each rider achieve harmony with their horse. Betsy’s systematic and proven fundamentals lay the base for an ease of understanding for horse and rider as they progress in their journey. From first time beginners to Grand Prix dressage and jumper riders, she loves working with riders who are open to growth. She has vast experience in dressage, as well as influences from the disciplines of jumping, reining, cutting, and polo. Betsy is happy to teach riders in any discipline, as she believes that “Good riding is good riding, regardless of the tack”. Teaching about 15 Pivo lessons a week regularly, she has an excellent understanding of the equipment and is well versed in teaching virtually. She also teaches clinics around the country regularly, and is available to schedule clinics as well as Pivo lessons. Betsy offers virtual training packages, and is fully committed to helping her students achieve their goals!
