Iliane Lorenz

Iliane Lorenz is a co-founder of Long Ride Home, specializing in rider seat training and helping riders overcome fear, rebuild confidence, and work through behavioral challenges.

She is a certified Trainer-B FN Breitensport and combines classical dressage with Sitzschule-inspired seat work, focusing on developing an independent, effective seat.

Her background is rooted in dressage and starting young horses, and also includes jumping, cross-country, and a strong focus on bridleless riding, giving her a broad, practical understanding across disciplines.

She works extensively with adult beginners, returning riders, anxious riders, and instructors who want to better support these groups.

She teaches using highly trained schoolmaster horses across disciplines — trained through the high school of dressage, yet also able to jump, work with riders with special needs, and be ridden bridleless — allowing riders to develop feel, timing, trust, and real-world adaptability.

Iliane has started many young horses and worked extensively with horses presenting behavioral challenges, developing them through the levels with a focus on clarity, softness, and partnership.

She has experience across many breeds including warmbloods, Lusitanos, PREs, Quarter Horses, and others, and trains her own schoolmaster horses through the levels, giving riders direct access to educated, responsive horses for learning.

Her focus is helping riders improve communication, develop feel and effectiveness in the saddle, and build confident, effective partnerships with their horses.
