Karry Brothers

Karry Bengtson-Brothers was one of the fortunate ones who grew up around horses. Her first pony was a little bay spitfire who taught her many things, including the value of earning a horse's trust, and to never turn your back with a carrot in your pocket.

She was blessed to learn horsemanship under Maureen Pach, of East Haddam, CT, and was even granted the honor of riding Maureen's personal horse "Big Boy."

Karry received her Bachelor's degree in Communications and her Master's in Marketing and continued on with a teaching career, but always came back to the horses and she decided to focus on building her dream.

In April of 2008, Karry and her husband Craig purchased Emerald-Glen Equestrian Center, LLC. It is here that Karry and Craig are slowly putting together an equestrian facility to support education of the equestrian pursuits. It is the philosophy of the center that there is no one right way to learn or to teach and each individual situation must be carefully thought out. And, if one way doesn't work, try it another way!

Since 2015, Karry has been working in judge education in the northeast and is the Judge Education manager for the New England Dressage association and also works directly with USDF to host the training programs for advancing dressage judges.

In addition, Karry has a USDF Bronze Medal, half her Silver medal and is an L Graduate with Distinction. She also holds her small r in Western Dressage and is a WD R Candidate.

Karry offers either a virtual or in-person lesson at your facility, or at her facility in Stephentown, NY, which has an outdoor ring. Lesson horses are also available for an additional fee, and up to Third Level riders are welcome. Lessons are 45 minutes, and virtual lessons are a specialty.
