I spent 30 glorious years of my life training in person with Charles de Kunffy, Arthur Kottas-Heldenberg, Herwig Radnetter, Stephen Clarke, Klaus Balkenhol and Gerd Heuschmann.

My biggest passion in life is passing on the words of these absolute masters in the art of classical dressage. I am so lucky to have so many clients both in person and now remotely, thanks to the brilliant robotic camera - the PIVO!

My speciality is the horses correct core engagement posture, leading to a horse being truly through the back, not artificially and incorrectly rounded. This is established first through quality ground work training and exercises, before leading into the ridden work. What I can teach you in the ground work can be transformational! Then sometimes what seems like minor tweaks to the riders position will have a huge influence over the horse or pony's physical and mental state and way of going. The two sentences most said to me over the years are "Wow why has no one ever taught me this before" and then "I wish I'd found you sooner"!

It is this attention to correct detail that awarded me 30 years of super competition success in the UK, including two wins at the BD National Championships with inexpensive horses. However it is the dancing alone with the horse that love the most and the horses happiness and welfare is my priority. Correct dressage training should be the equivalent to pilates/yoga/physiotherapy to the horse and lead to straightness/suppleness/core strength being improved by the training. This in turn leads to a sounder, happier more comfortable life for our dear animals that we are so grateful to have in our lives.

All potential clients must love the horse more than the sport.
